stripped to its essence
It is our passion to rescue Honeybees and educate people about the vital importance of Honeybees to mankind, as their welfare depends on us. We cultivate and distribute a broad range of African honey & bee products. Any unwanted bee hives is not a problem for us to remove.
We provide raw honey, which is exclusive to South-Africa. The colour & taste is dependent on which flowers the honey bee collects their nectar from. Each & every bottle reveals unique African Botanicals.
The perception of crystalized honey is that it is old, but in actual fact this is a natural process. All pure, raw honey will crystalize and the time it takes is determined by the floral source. The crystalized honey may be smooth, creamy or sandy, however this does not affect the quality of the honey. You do not have to keep honey refrigerated, as this will speed up crystallization. To de-crystalize, put bottle in lukewarm water.
We love Honeybees & if they have moved into any unwanted places, we are passionate about moving to a new home. We only move live bees & part of the process is to make sure that the queen bee is not hurt or killed. We do our best to relocate collonies to new hives as quickly & effeciently as possible with the least harm done to people and animals in the vicinity
Worldwide the global honeybee population is in serious decline and there is a very bad global crisis. Honeybees are so vital to the human populations food source without them the human existence is impossible. You can make a difference by buying a hive with bees and help us save the honeybees.
We supply complete "bee ready" bee hives to the public and for projects.
You can expect to have bee frames with wax strips and wire, aluminium cover on the lid and treated with waxall to protect from the weather & attract bees.
Honeybees are the only insect which provides edible food for human consumption. The indigenous honeybee is the most important pollinator and many of our food crops depend on honeybees for pollination. Honeybees are responsible for pollinating about sixth of the flowering species worldwide and approximately 400 different agricultural types of plants we owe many thanks to the amazing hard working insect, yet often under appreciated. Our lives and the world as a whole be a different place, if honeybees did not exist..
